Community Car Service Community Caring for its Own
The Shire of Gingin Community Car Service is a community-run initiative designed to meet the needs of Shire residents who need medical treatment but have no way to get it.
How does the service work?
The Community Car is provided for community members who do not have any means of getting to medical appointments. A volunteer driver will pick you up from home, drive you to your appointment and then return you home again. Please note this service is for specialist medical appointments only, not for shopping or visiting.
Who can use it?
While the Gingin and Lancelin Community Cars primarily serve our senior members, anyone in the community needing transport to a medical appointment can take advantage of this service.
What does it cost?
The only cost to you will be for fuel and any parking, if applicable.
How do I book?
You will need to complete a booking form any time you need transport. Booking forms may be obtained from the relevant CRC.
