The Short-Term Rental Accommodation (STRA) Bill is now an Act.
Debate in the Legislative Council on the STRA Bill 2024 took place on 16 April. The Bill was passed and will come into effect on 1 July.
STRA Register Training
Consumer Protection is offering a series of information sessions on the STRA registration system in June 2024, these sessions will cover how it will work, who will need to register, and what it means for you.
One of the information sessions will be held in Gingin at the Bendigo Bank Complex Club Room on 20 June. The event will include a briefing from the Consumer Protection staff and an opportunity to ask questions about the STRA register.
Directions: Enter via the Gingin Recreation Centre turn off on Weld St, follow the road to the ticket box T-junction, turn left and the complex is straight ahead.
