On Wednesday 15 November, the Shire held its annual Early Rates Incentive Prize Night at CU@Park Restaurant in Gingin where 10 lucky early ratepayers participated in a fun ‘mystery’ prize presentation and social networking event.
The prizes, which were made up from cash and in-kind sponsorship from local and regional businesses, ranged in value from $1,000 to $5,000 with a total value of $19,200.
This is the 10th year the Shire has conducted an Early Rates Incentive Scheme and this year 65% of rates paid on or before 10 October, which is an increase over previous years and is well over half of total expected rates revenue – so a big thank you to everyone who paid their rates early.
We would like to congratulate the following winners:
- John & Margaret Goodacre – major prize winners
- Henry & Margaret Morris
- Humfrey & Co Pty Ltd – represented by proxy Tom Cabassi
- Mark Ladny – represented by Richard & June Ladny
- Adrienne Pellegrini
- Newton Heights Pty Ltd – represented by Michael & Maria Skender
- Giovanni & Anna Deceglie
- Stephen & Elizabeth Ferguson
- Douglas McFarlane & Ashe Brewer
- Kim Gravenall
