Dept of Health & BOM - Extended Heatwave Advice for Residents

Published on Thursday, 30 January 2025 at 12:24:10 PM

Please be advised that large areas of severe heatwave are forecast for regional WA in the BOM forecast period from today Thursday 30 January until Tuesday 4 February 2025.

Actual forecast temperatures in many inland towns may range between 42-47 maximums and 23-30 minimums.

Extreme heat can affect everyone, however, some people are more vulnerable in the hot weather and need to take extra care of their health to prevent heat-related illnesses such as dehydration, heat stress and heat stroke. Vulnerable people include babies and young children, older people, and pregnant women.
