Disability Discrimination Act Review

Published on Tuesday, 4 March 2025 at 3:17:00 PM

The Australian Government has committed funding to review and modernise the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, and a broad and accessible public consultation process will be launched this month.

The Attorney-General’s Department will lead the review to consider:
  • the recommendations from the Disability Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability, and
  • changes recommended by stakeholders to improve the experience of people with disability.
To be involved in this important review, you can sign up to the mailing list for updates on the public consultation process HERE.
