The Shire has commenced testing at the Caraban Rocks (rope swing) area of Moore River and the preliminary results have detected the potential presence of an amoeba which may pose a health risk for swimmers and requires further testing. Health Department Safety signage is in place.
Testing will continue on a weekly basis for the next few weeks whilst the weather is hot and river usage is high.
Please exercise caution if entering these waters.
