The Shire’s Environmental team are continuing regular testing of Moore River, and bacteria levels are currently within the normal range (please note there will always be a bacterial count in the estuarine environment).
However, safety signs remain in place as a warning for anyone swimming in the river to do so at their risk given that the bacterial levels can change with temperature conditions on any given day.
So for your safety, please take care to keep your head above water if you intend to swim in Moore River.
