The Shire of Gingin and local volunteer bush fire brigades will be conducting a prescribed fuel reduction burn along the Mimegarra Rd x Sappers Rd intersection, in Nilgen on 18 June from 9:30am – 6:00pm.
The prescribed burn will be conducted under a prevailing South South-Easterly breeze and it is anticipated that there will be minimal impact along Mimegarra Rd, travellers are reminded to remain alert and drive to the conditions.
Whilst some inconvenience can be expected due to the associated smoke, the protection of our community from the threat of bush fire is essential. If you have any concerns relating to the effects of smoke, it is recommended you keep windows closed and remain indoors for the duration of this period.
